I woke up and had a banana.
Ed met me at the apartment, and said that he liked yesterday's empanadas so much, he wanted to go to Per-Lizza again. Off we went.
I ordered four different flavors: Lomo Saltado, Chicken and Mushroom, Spinach, and the king: Mushroom and Cheese. Did I need four? No, but they're really good. Ed had two. I washed them down with a cafe con leche.
Per-Lizza is a bakery. Ed saw these coconut macaroon-looking things, wanted one, so we split it.
Incredibly, we didn't eat again until dinner, where we met my friend Jenny at T'anta in San Isidro.
We started off by sharing an appetizer of Octopus Wantons. Not surprisingly, they were delicious. Jenny had one; Ed and I had two and a half each.
For my main dish, I ordered the Saltado Tanta. This is a Tacu Tacu patty with a mixed stir fry -- shrimp, chicken and beef.
Ed had Tuna, and Jenny ordered the mini Causas. Ed had never had Tuna not from a can, and he loved it. Ate every bite and seemed to be considering licking off the plate. Jenny polished off her causas, too.
Jenny ordered dessert. I don't know where she puts the food - every time we eat, she finishes everything. And she's another one who weighs 100 pounds at most.
Any way, that gave me permission to have dessert, so I ordered a Choco-Lucuma. It's a combination of Chocolate and Lucuma (a local fruit) mousses, wrapped in a chocolate shell. I also ordered three tiny chocolate truffles; we each had one.
Jenny is a professional model. She does stuff all the time, and is on TV and things like that. Her picture was in the newspaper on Wednesday, which is what reminded me to call her. Ed bought a copy of the paper, and Jenny signed it for him. He's going to get it framed.
We are going out of town for the weekend. I'm not sure how wonderful the food will be (I have high hopes) or what the status of the internet is, but I will do my best.
ONE THING I FORGOT: Around midnight, I ate some Chifles (plantain chips) at the casino.
