Sunday: More Fish

Sunday, January 25

I didn't eat in the morning -- just some Coffee. I picked up Fish at Albertsons in the afternoon.

First up... Catfish. I added a bottle of Mexican Cooking Sauce to a can of Diced Tomatoes and some Spices, then cooked it up in a frying pan.

It went well, so I did it again with some Talipia (No photos). I don't like Talapia as much as Catfish (hardly any flavor), but it was in the house, so I loved it.

Here's my steps for the day.

Ahi Saturday

Saturday, January 24

Let's just start with a photo of Loretta modeling some Tuna.

In the morning and daytime, I finished off the Watermelon from Friday, and I broke into a box of Clementine Oranges. That got me through late afternoon.

At Loretta's house, she whipped up some Tuna Steaks that I picked up at Doris' Market on Nob Hill Road.

They came out delicious. Loretta doesn't cook all that much any more, but when she does, it usually works out well. I had Broccoli with mine, and she had Broccoli, Cole Slaw and some Peppers on the side.

For Dessert, I had bought her a Chocolate Cannolli. I had some more Oranges.

Later, at home, I had two small containers of Mixed Fruit that were on sale at Publix.

That's it for the day. Here's my steps.

Catfish Friday

Friday, January 23

A Bowl of Watermelon.

For Lunch, I had bought the World's Biggest Zucchini.

I cut it up, put it in the Microwave, and then I feasted. Edwar helped me a little, and I gave a couple of pieces to John, but I ate most of it.

Later, I cut up a Watermelon and had half of it. It wasn't very good. I can't wait until Watermelon season.

For Dinner, I bought some Cajun-seasoned Catfish Filets and made one of my specialties: Aluminum Foil Fish and Brussels Sprouts. I quadruple-wrapped it and baked for 45 minutes at 450 degrees.

It was delicious. I love Aluminum Foil Fish.

That's it. Here's my steps.

Wednesday / Thursday: Soup and, er, Soup

Wednesday, January 21

A Bowl of Watermelon.

Another Bowl of Watermelon. The Watermelon isn't all that good right now, but hey... it's Watermelon.

Edwar and I went to Lunch again today. This time, we went to the Vietnamese Place on 441, but not The Noodle House. We don't go there any longer.

We started with the Spring Rolls, than we each had Pho.

Apparently, I did not take a photo of my Soup. But it was Pho, it was very Large, and it had Brisket and Meatballs.

For Dinner, after failing to eat at the Oakland Park Farmers Market, Lonnise and I went to Georgie's Alibi on Wilton Drive. It was Lonnise's first time there.

I had the Knockout Burger with Vegetables, and Lonnise had the Pastrami Philly with a Salad. Everything they make there is delicious. Just make sure you can eat to the sound of Techno music.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Thursday, January 22

I didn't eat much today. First, a Bowl of Watermelon.

Over the course of the day, two more Bowls of Watermelon.

Jeff and I were going to the Hurricanes' basketball game later, so after work, I picked up a large Egg Drop Soup from a take out place near the house.

We got home from Coral Gables late, so we didn't stop to eat anything. Before bed, I had four Kosher Dill Pickles from my refrigerator.

Here's my steps. I get to do laps around the arena when I go to games.

Monday & Phyllis' Big Night Out on Tuesday

Monday, January 19

For my farewell Breakfast on the Boat, I had two Egg White Omelets with Mushrooms and Onions, with Rye Toast. Ed was still full from Sunday, so he just watched.

It was a good cruise; Carnival does a good job.

For Lunch, back on dry land, Edwar and I were running errands, so we stopped at Las Colinas for Lunch. I had the Cubano Sandwich, and Edwar had a Ropa Vieja Sandwich. Both were Very Good. I helped him with his Fries. We were happy.

I wasn't going to have Dinner, but then I got hungry. I rummaged around my Freezer and found a package of Calamari. I made Calamri Fra Diavlo, more or less.

It was enough to fill me up. So that was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Tuesday, January 20

My friend Phyllis likes to eat. One night, at The Ark in Hollywood, she ate Boyd and me under the table, and laughed at us the whole way home. And she's only 5 feet tall and doesn't weigh all that much.

But I digress. The point is, we had Dinner plans, and I knew she would enjoy herself at Texas de Brazil... she had never been there.

First, I had to muddle through the day. I limited myself to a bunch of Bananas and some Oranges.

Then, on to Texas de Brazil. I had a coupon, so it was half price.

We started with the Salad Bar and the Soup. Luckily, the Soup of the Day was Lobster Bisque.

The Soup of the Day is always Lobster Bisque. But they make a big deal out of it, so we play along. Then, the Meat came. Phyllis never lived through such a wealth of Meat -- we both had a really good time.

I would describe it all, but you know... it was Meat. We had a great time. Neither of us was incapacitated, but she took a classic "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" photo at the end.

We both had a great time, and she takes a mean Blog Photo. I don't get to hang with Phyllis very much, but we both promised to coordinate our schedules better.

Not surprisingly, I had nothing else the rest of the night. Here's my steps.
