Wednesday/Thursday: Grapes and the Nauti Dawg

Wednesday, June 10

It's the happiest time of the year! Grapes are 99 cents per pound at Albertsons. I had a lot of them during the day.

For my 'real' food, I had one of Albertson's Turkey Pot Roasts.

In reality, it is a Turkey Thigh that has been sloooow cooked, and is fall-off-the-bone delicious.

That was it for the day. I found my FitBit, so my step count was 13,459

Thursday, June 11

Frozen Grapes in the morning.

For Lunch, I went to Pho Hoa and had a #65, extra large.

For Dinner, I met my friend Rose and we went out to Lighthouse Point to eat at the Nauti Dawg. It's hard to find, but it is worth it -- every time I've been there, the food's been great.

We started by splitting the Fish Tacos, Blackened.


For our Main Course, I had the Lobster Roll with Grilled Vegetables.

I texted this picture to Loretta to make her jealous, but she doesn't know how to read her SMS messages, so that didn't work. What did work, however, was my mouth, and it enjoyed the Sandwich immensely.

Rose had the Crab Cakes. She's camera shy, but I predict she will one day learn the joy of taking Blog Photos. I'm pretty sure she enjoyed her food; she ate all of it.

Later, at home, I watched the basketball game and downed some Frozen Bananas, a bag of (stale) Popcorn, and much later, some Tuna mixed with Hot Sauce and Mustard. It was as strange as it sounds.




That's it. The Warriors won the game. My steps for the day: 7,117.

The Three "S"s... Salmon, Soup & Sushi

If I treated Points like they were money, and only spent what I had in my pocket, things would be different. But no, I'm a points millionaire.

For Lunch, Edwar and I split the leftover Salmon and the Soup that's still hanging around.


I was staying at the Hard Rock, and I didn't feel like giving them my money for food, and I wanted to be back in time for the basketball game, so I passed on the Hot Pot and I went to Shin Ju Japanese Buffet on University Drive. This branch is much, much nicer than the one in Coral Springs.

The good news is I only had three plates. Thae bad news is that I had three plates.



Yeah, I know. Treat points like money.

No steps for the day, but I found the FitBit on Wednesday morning.

Sunday/Monday: Watermelon, Soup & Fish

Albertsons finally has Bowls of Watermelon on sale. I had three throughout the day.

I also had another Bowl of Vegetable Soup. There's still plenty.

Monday, June 8

A Bowl of Watermelon.

Not only is Watermelon on sale at Albertsons; Salmon is, too ($4.99 per pound). I bought a side, cut it up, seasoned it, and popped it in the Broiler.



Here's two pieces. I wound up eating three, and saving the other for Lunch on Tuesday.

Vivian told us to spread out our Protein during the day and not have it all at once.

That was it for the day.

Big news: I lost my FitBit. So no steps today. I'm hopeful about finding it, because I don't want to buy yet another one.

Friday/Saturday

Friday, June 5

Not a lot today. First, some Soup in the office. Go figure -- Vegetable Soup.

I needed to get some Protein in me, so I went to La Ranchera #2 on 441 and ordered some Rice and Red Beans. I also got a couple of Roasted Jalapenos and an Onion.

Later that night, more Vegetable Soup. I forgot to take a photo.

That was it for the day.

Friday's Step Count: 10,274

Saturday, June 6

I went to Publix in the morning and picked up three Oranges and some Strawberries. I ate all the Oranges and some of the Strawberries.

Later, an Apple with my Coffee. I hardly ever eat Apples; I don't know why.

Around Noon, I had a package of Dollar Store Pink Salmon in Water.

I must say, it was worth a dollar. And only two points.

Lonnise, Joe Robert and I went to Pizza Time in Coral Springs for a late Lunch. I had a Slice with Chicken and other stuff (Mushrooms, and maybe something else), and a Chicken parm Pannini. Lonnise had an Italian Pannini, and Joe Robert had a Veal Pannini.




They do a good job at Pizza Time. It's a good thing for me that they are far from Wilton Manors.

Thursday: Watermelon, Soup and Squash

I cut up the last piece of Side of the Road Watermelon in the morning.


Ummm.. have to buy more next week.

For Lunch, I heated up some more of my delicious Vegetable Soup.

Later, at home, I cut up four Squashes and threw in one thing of Bok Choy (still stuff that I bought at Foodtown), and made Squash & Bok Choy in Black Bean Sauce.


Still don't know what I'm doing with the Black Bean Sauce, but it came out pretty good.

Wednesday: Soup, Soup and Watermelon

At work, some more Vegetable soup. Get used to seeing this; I have a lot of it.

Lonnise and I went to dinner at Pho Hoa. We each had a Spring Roll, and then Soup. I had my standard #65, extra large.



Later, at the house, some more Side of the Road Watermelon.

That's it. If this keeps up, there will be less of me on Monday.

More Side of the Road Watermelon. I had one of these.

For Lunch, some of my delicious Vegetable Soup.

For Dinner, I cut up some of the Chinese Eggplants that I bought over the weekend, and I made Eggplant in Black Bean Sauce.


It was excellent, but nothing like when I buy stuff in Black Bean Sauce from a Chinese Restaurant. I am missing something in the preparation.

Later on, another hunk of Side of the Road Watermelon.

That's it for the day.

Total Steps: 3,275. I was pretty much an unmoving blob.

Back to Normal: Watermelon & Soup

Monday, May 1

OK, Eat Too Much Weeks is over. I was out of control, and there was a lot of Food involved. I will spare everyone the carnage and just move forward.

Seriously... nothing to see here, OK? Thank you.

On Sunday, I went to Foodtown, bought a lot of Vegetables, and made a ton of Soup. Vegetable Soup.

Before I had any of the Soup, I cut open a Side of the Road Watermelon and had some.

Delicious.

Later, I had a Bowl of Delicious Vegetable Soup. The first of many to come.

Before going to sleep, three Frozen Bananas.
