Bravo Gourmet

Friday, September 26

Save-A-Lot's Grapes are $1.49 per pound now, so I picked up two bags.

I ate one Bag in the morning.

For Lunch, I had a package of Oscar Meyer Rotisserie Seasoned Chicken Breast Roll-Ups with Mustard.

As a change from Turkey, it's OK. I like *some* sliced Chicken better, but not this one.

Later, Half of the second Bag of Grapes (now Frozen).

For Dinner, before the football game on TV, I went to Bravo Gourmet, right close to the house. They do a fairly good replication of Peruvian food. I had a Mixed Seafood Cebiche with Salsa de Rocoto, and a Parihuela.

I prefer a little more Rocoto in my Cebiche, but overall, it was good. The Parihuela was not as flavorful as their usual offering, but it had plenty of Seafood and some Fish... maybe they had a different chef that night.

There were still some Grapes in my house from the 99 cent days... I had some while watching the game.

Anyway, that's it for the day. Here's my steps.

Wednesday/Thursday

Wednesday, September 24

I spent the day at the office eating Roasted Vegetables. This is what there was at the beginning of the day. They were gone by 5:00.

Lonnise met me after work, and we went to The Blue Plate at the Hard Rock. They sent me a coupon, and Me & Lonnise are all about the coupons.

I started with the Fish Tacos, and followed them up with a Strip Steak (without Butter on top -- I saw that on someone else's plate) with Broccoli and Asparagus.

For her Free Meal, Lonnise had the Meatloaf with Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes. She ate half the meatloaf, all the Broccoli and showed a lot of restraint by only having a couple of bites of the Potatoes, and none of the Onion Strings.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Thursday, September 25

A Bowl of Watermelon.

It was a good thing that I made a second container of Roasted Vegetables, because I spent all day polishing off tin #2.

Later, another Bowl of Watermelon. That's it.

Vegetables!

Tuesday, September 23

A Bowl of Watermelon.

On the way home Monday night, I stopped at the Green Market and Albetsons and bought Vegetables. Lots of Vegetables. I was going a Roastin'.

You're looking at the Brussels Sprouts form the weekend, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Zucchini, Garlic Cloves, Onions, Poblano Peppers, Red Peppers, Cauliflower, Red and White Potatoes, String Beans and Mushrooms.

I cut them all up and put them in two Roasting Things.

Just an hour and 40 minutes later, here's what one of them looked like.

I had a Bowl for Early Lunch

Later, some more Watermelon.

And another Bowl of Vegetables later in the afternoon.

I was in Hollywood in the evening, so I went to The Hot pot for what, apparently, is my new Regular Soup.

I had the two spicy Broths with Napa Cabbage, Broccoli, Bok Choy, Bean Sprouts and Mushrooms. I was so excited, I threw the Sprouts and Broccoli in before taking the photo. Here's what the whole thing looked like while it was cooking.

It took a while, but I got through it. Delicious.

Here's my steps for the day.

Salmon Monday!

Monday, September 22

A Bowl of Watermelon.

I picked up two pieces of Salmon at Albertsons, got them ready, and put them in the broiler.

Eighteen minutes later, they were perfectly done, so I ate them.

Then, another Bowl of Watermelon.

Around 10:30 or 11:00, I had a Bowl of Roasted Vegetables. We will discuss the Vegetables in depth in tomorrow's post, but here's the Bowl.

Here's my steps for the day.

Weekend Update

Saturday, September 20

I went to the movies with Loretta at 11:00 am, and we went to Whole Foods for Lunch afterwards. She had Soup and a Stromboli, and I availed myself of the Cuban Mojito Chicken Wings from the Hot Bar.

I ate too many of them, but at least they were Grilled or Baked, not fried.

At home, I had some Frozen Grapes.

Jeff and Brent and I drove to Coconut Grove to watch the Hurricanes game at The Sandbar Sports Grill. We knew that they would have the sound on, and we were amongst friends.

I had the Churrasco Steak with Rice & Beans, Brent had Chili and the Wings, and Jeff had the Ribs.

Brent needs a little more practice in throwing up a []_[] but one day, he'll get it. The food was OK, but we liked the place, and it's near campus, so we will probably return before a basketball game this year.

Later, I had some more Frozen Grapes. They didn't make me feel any better about the game, though.

Here's my steps.

Sunday, September 21

I swung by Publix and picked up some Brussels Sprouts.

I put one package away for another day and cut the Sprouts in the other package in half, added some spices, and nuked.

Then I watched football.

During the night game, I heated up three cans of Soup and a can of Mushrooms, because I like Mushrooms.

That kept me going the rest of the night. Here's my steps. Zero active minutes... changing channels doesn't count as active.

Friday @ The Hot Pot

Friday, September 19

I know... if you didn't look at your Calendar, you would think that it was still Soup Week.

I lied to you guys when I told you about Wednesday... I still had three MORE cans of Soup at the office, and I had it in the late morning.

Later, Frozen Grapes.

I was in Hollywood in the evening, so I took the opportunity to go to The Hot Pot.

Since I was alone, I could order both the Hot Broth and the Other Hot Broth. And I got all Vegetables... Broccoli, Cabbage, Bok Choy and Bean Sprouts. They were out of Mushrooms.

They're disappointed when I don't get Noodles, but you know, I didn't miss them. It took me a loooong time to finish all the Soup, but I got through it. I think it came to seven Bowls.

I then spent the rest of the night, um, giving back the liquid.

Here's my steps.

Wednesday / Thursday

Wednesday, September 17

Frozen Grapes. It's been a while since I've showed Frozen Grapes, so here you go.

They haven't changed much since the last time I took their picture..

For Lunch, I nuked the last three cans of Soup that I had at the office from Soup Week.

That's two Vegetable Classics and a Vegetable Tuscan-Style White Bean.

More Frozen Grapes.

At home, I did some more Soup.

You're looking at two cans of Progresso Light Vegetable Noodle and one can of  Campbell's Homestyle Light Italian-Style Wedding Soup. I added a can of Muchrooms because I like Muchrooms.

Later, some more Frozen Grapes. I will miss the 99 cent sale.

Here's Wednesday's Steps.

Thursday, September 18

Frozen Grapes. They're all the rage.

For Breakfast, I nuked up a package of Healthy Choice Garlic Herb Shrimp.

Trust me, it neither looked or tasted 10% as good as the package indicates. I think I am done buying the Healthy Choice meals. At least until I forget.

More Frozen Grapes.

For Lunch, I nuked a package of Lean Cuisine Beef Portobello.

The Lean Cuisine meals are very good for the most part. They are just not all that filling.

On the way home from work, I stopped at Publix and picked up the pre-seasoned Jerk Chicken and cooked it up.

I wound up not using the can of Tomatoes and Okra... there was enough Tomato-based stuff from the Salsa and the actual Tomatoes..

I ate half of it and put the rest away for another day. I forgot to take a picture.

Some more Frozen Grapes.

Here's Thursday's steps. A total of one Active Minute for the two days.
