We walk in and are greeted by the lovely Paola. Always good to see her. Always.
For my Appetizer, I tried something new. Cebiche Amazonico para Especialistas.
Paola explained to me that this Cebiche (from the Amazon area) had -- along with the fish -- some Pork-like item, and also that the sauce was different. The Pork-ish item tasted very smokey and delicious, and the 'juice' was sweeter than your regular Cebiche.
Alex had Octopus in Olive Sauce, and then a piece of Grilled Fish.
For my main dish -- what else? -- Rocoto Relleno.
Hot, red Pepper stuffed with Meat and other stuff. On the outside, Potatoes and a Creamy, Cheesy Sauce. How did I like it?
I'm glad that I stumbled upon Vara a couple of years ago. I really enjoy it there.
