Loretta is doing great in her recovery from the knee replacement... thanks to everyone who has been keeping up or asking about her. She was cleared to drive by the doctor, but she wanted to go with me to test it out before speeding all around town.
As she says, "The walker is folded up and put in the back of the closet." She's not even using a cane. The operation was exactly one month ago... this is pretty fantastic.
We were hungry, so we decided on Lunch first. We went to the Noodle House on 441, just south of Commercial Blvd.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I think that I like it as much as the one down in Hollywood (this place has a lot of non-Pho options), and much better than the other one on Commercial, who's name I can never remember.
I started with the Spring Rolls.
These are pretty much the same (good) everywhere. These have Pork in them, so I ate them alone.
My Main Course was the Pho Do Bien Chua Cay. For those of us that don't speak Korean Menu, that's Hot and Sour Seafood Pho Noodle Soup.
It wasn't much different spicy than if I doctored it up myself, but it was delicious, and they did the work for me. I'll be back.
We never got to do the test drive, because it started raining. I hung around her house for a while, then we gave up and I left for some other adventures. I will head back there tomorrow.
I went out for a while and got home a little after 11:00... I was hungry, so I nuked a Lean Cuisine Chicken Tuscan.
It was surprisingly good, or I was very hungry. Either way, I finished it.
Some Frozen Grapes while I am typing this up, then off to bed.
