It's a new week! Time for Steak!

I stopped at 7-eleven this morning and got two Hard-Boiled Eggs for Breakfast.

Since it is still Lonnise's Birthday Month, she has an Inbox full of coupons. Texas de Brazil sent her a Buy One; Get One birthday coupon. Since her birthday was yesterday, I would have taken her to Dinner to celebrate anyway. So I jumped all over the opportunity to overeat on Meat on a Sword.

We started with a trip to the Soup/Salad Bar.

That was my Salad Plate (clockwise from top: Shrimp, Garlic, Prosciutto, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Smoked Salmon. And Lobster Bisque... it was the Soup of the Day! Here's the Birthday Girl with her Salad & Soup.

After that, the Parade of Meat began. I sampled all of the following Meats...
Lamb Chops
Some Cut of Beef - I don't remember which

Pork Ribs

Beef Ribs
Picana - Top Sirloin

Pork Loin

Sirloin with Garlic
Bacon-wrapped Chicken
Filet Mignon
Leg of Lamb
They ranged from Very Good to Excellent. I passed on the Parmesean Chicken and the Sausage; Lonnise said the Sausage was wonderful. My one regret was that -- while we were having coffee -- one of the Sword Dudes went to the table next to us and said, "Would you like some Filet wrapped in Bacon?" If I wasn't totally stuffed, I would have cried. The only thing that makes Filet Mignon better than Filet Mignon is when you wrap it in Bacon. Now I know for next time.

Because it was her birthday, they brought her a piece of cake, but thankfully didn't sing to her.

They did a beautiful job on the presentation. She blew out the candle and we each had a small sliver of the Chocolate Mousse Cake with our coffee. It either wasn't fabulous, or I was just in a Meat Overdose, but I wasn't all that impressed with the cake.

Eventually, we were able to get up and leave. If you decide to go there, be sure to sign up for their e-club. They send lots of coupons (like the Birthday one), and they also send you a discount off two dinners when you join. It makes a costly (but priced correctly) dinner much more reasonable.

Not surprisingly, I did not eat any Watermelon or Grapes when I got home.

  1. I went back to Tucanos within the last couple of months and I basically made the garlic parmesan girl stand next to me.
