Diet, shmiet.
Veronika, Garry and I went to
Bravo Restobar for Sunday Brunch. I've eaten dinner there a few times (even took mom once), and the restaurant is pretty good, and pretty pricey. So when I saw that they had a buffet for 69 soles (around $24), we went for it.
They have a buffet, but they also have a few standard dishes that you request and they cook to order. I will list and show what I ate first, then add some other food photos.
My first buffet plate featured scallops in a spicy sauce,
chicharron de pescado (fried fish chunks), a Chicken Croquette, and some mystery pork item, on top of rice. Next up was some lasagna,
Aji de Gallina, which is shredded chicken in a (not very) spicy sauce, and some tempura vegetables. My third trip was for a few sushi rolls, and some
carpaccio de pulpo (sliced octopus). I tried the cheesecake and the brownie from the dessert table.

We ordered and shared a lomo saltado (beef stir-fry) and a cebiche. I also asked for the pez espada (swordfish), and since it was small, I didn't share any.
Aside from the dessert table, they custom made us a Warm Apple Something, and a Banana Crepe, both with ice cream. The three of us did a good job on that. I'm not a big fan of desserts, but these were excellent.

Here's some more buffet pictures, and Garry's Osso Bucco. He said it was fabulous.

I really like going out with Garry and Veronika. She is very patient with my bad Spanish, and Garry can sure spin a yarn. I make sure to go out with them at least once a trip.
Oh yeah, I had an empanada on the way to meet them today. That was my breakfast. No photo; I just remembered.
