After eating in a few sparsely-populated joints, Ed & I went to Fiesta Gourmet in Miraflores for dinner tonight. This high-end restaurant features Northern Peruvian food.
I started with a causa with hot shrimp on top. From my trip North, it seems that they like to put cooked foods on top of their causas in that region. I followed that with a Northern Peruvian classic: Rice with Duck.
They have a few vrsions of duck with rice; I chose just the breast sliced up.
Ed said that his Cream of Asparagus Soup was surprisingly excellent, and he described his Lomo Saltado as the best he has ever tasted.
This was my fourth or fifth time at Fiesta Gourmet. The only thing that stops me from going more often is the galaxy of other dining options in Lima.
