My breakfast yesterday was two sandwiches on the street ... the first was a tamale sandwich, and the second was chicharron. That is sliced pork, grilled and served on a roll with sweet potato and onions. No photos.
I met Fernando for lunch yesterday ata cebicheria in San Miguel. I don't remember the name of the place, but we've eaten there before.
I started with a cebiche mixto -- a cebiche of mixed seafood, and followed up with a parihuela, which is a seafood soup.
Fernando's appetizer was choros a la chalaca. That's mussels topped with cut up onions, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, and probably some other stuff. I had one of those, too.
That's Fernando on top and the mussels on the bottom. |
