Thursday, March 13 - Lima
My flight got in at 10:30, so I wasn't settled in to the apartment until close to 12. Cinthya and I were both hungry. The pickings were slim (by 'slim', I mean 'Peru Slim" -- there were only 54 restaurants open in walking distance).
We wound up taking the easier, softer way and went to Manolos. They're expensive by Peru standards, and the food is good, not great, but they are real close to my apartment.
Cinthya and I split an Appetizer and a Main Course. Our Appetizer was Palta a la Reyna.
I kind of fogot how the camera on my Peruvian Cell Phone works, but I figured it out later.
This dish is an avocado topped with what we would call Chicken Salad. It was damn good. Here's their picture of it, just for kicks.
For our Main Course, we split a Lomo Saltado. Here's a crappy photo.
It was better than it looked, which wasn't hard, but it wasn't all that great. Cinthya either disagreed or was really hungry, because she polished 3/4 of it off.
That was it for the Peru part of my day. Here's my steps.
