I knew that I was going to a Banquet tonight, and I would have little control over the food there, so I played it safe during the day.
Frozen Grapes.
A Bowl of Watermelon.
More Frozen Grapes.
Another Bowl of Watermelon.
Lonnise is on the Board of Directors for the Broward Community & Family Health Centers, and tonight is their annual Gala Ball. She asked me to go with her.
The theme was Roaring '20s, so everyone was in black, and there were plenty of Flapper outfits and stuff. At the risk of tooting our own horns, we looked pretty damn good.
As for the food, it turned out that I didn't have to worry; it was pretty safe. We started with a Salad.
There was a Tomato Wedge, Spinach and some Crumbled Cheese. I used a little of the Vinaigrette Dressing, and was good to go. I passed on the roll.
The Signature Grand makes a BIG DEAL about plating and serving the food. It was cute, and the waiter showed up with my plate.
It was a piece of Salmon, a Chicken Breast, Some String Beans, and a scoop of Mashed Potatoes. There was a creamy White Sauce for the Fish, and a slightly sweet Red Sauce for the Chicken. I ate it all, except for some of the Red Sauce. There wasn't too much on the plate; I assume the portion was what a normal person would eat.
That was it for the night, except for the few Grapes that were still in the house.
Here's my steps for the day.
I love Lonnise's dress!
