Thursday, 12 September

I had a half bag of Baby Carrots left over from last week's Roasted Vegetables. I ate those on the way to work.

At the office, two Hard-Boiled Eggs. Later, a Bowl of Watermelon.

When I bought the packages of Turkey at Albertson's they were three for whatever they cost. I had the third one today.

I finished the last of the Dijon Mustard, so I used the Gulden's that we had laying around on the last few slices.

Throughout the afternoon, I munched on Frozen Grapes.

When I got home, I finally finished unpacking from my trip before the football games. I nuked a package of Compleats Spicy Ginger Chicken.

The Compleats line of foods are all good. They are all even more disappointing looking than the average microwave food, but they are all even better tasting than you would a right to expect. This one was excellent.

But it was small, and I was still hungry. My heart was saying, "Order Pizza," but my head said no.

In the refrigerator, I had a Spaghetti Squash. I have heard a lot about them, but I have never tried one before.

I heated the oven to 375, cut the squash in half, cleaned out the seeds, and put it on a baking sheet for 38 minutes. When it was done, it was hot.

After it cooled a little, it was just as advertised; You just take a fork to it, and it comes out, all spaghetti-looking. It fluffs up a lot.

According to the Internet, the Squash is kind of tasteless, so I broke open a bottle of Salsa and mixed it in.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the 'Spaghetti' was a little crunchier than I thought it would be. Maybe that's how it is, or maybe I needed to cook it another five minutes. As to the taste, the Internet was right: It was pretty bland. But as a Salsa Delivery Device, it did the job, and it was definitely less diet-damaging than the Pizza I almost bought.
