After Breakfast, a Bowl of Watermelon.
Lunch was so good yesterday, I did it again. I had another 9 ounce package of Hillshire Farms Turkey Breast.
As I did yesterday, I did Mustard Roll-Ups. I really like the Maille Dijon, so I ordered another six jars of it from Amazon. The new order has jars that are twice as big. They had a NINE POUND jar of the stuff available; so now we know that there actually is a line I won't cross. We learned something today.
Over the course of the afternoon, I downed two more Bowls of Watermelon, and a handful of Frozen Grapes.
I met Lonnise after work. We wanted to eat something, but we both agreed that we didn't want to go crazy. We figured Salvadorian Food was just the right answer. As long as we stayed away from the Starches, we would be fine. So we headed to Cuscatlan Restaurant on Andrews Avenue.
When in doubt, I default to my favorite dish: Seafood Soup. At this place, they called it Mariscada.
When I ordered (All I spoke in the restaurant was Spanish. Well, I talked to Lonnise in English, so I guess it wasn't ALL. But me and the waitress: Spanish), the waitress asked if I wanted it in a cream-based broth. I told her no, thanks.
This Soup was in a thin, Tomato-y Broth, with some diced Tomatoes, Onion Pieces and Cilantro, plus some Pepper. I added Lime and some Tabasco. It had Calamari rings, Mussels, Clams, a couple of Shrimp and a Crab floating around in there. I finished the bowl, and just had two or three small spoons of Rice with it.
Lonnise ordered Shrimps in Garlic Sauce. It came with a Salad.
RICH: I'm not going to take a picture of the Salad; It's not very interesting. I will wait for the Shrimp.
LONNISE: I'm eating a Salad. Take My Picture!!!!!!!!
So there it is. Here she is with her Main Course.
She really liked it. I tasted the Sauce that the Shrimps were cooked in. Very garlicky, very good.
We both finished with Cafe Con Leche. Mine was decaf.
Around 10:00, I had some more Frozen Grapes in the house.
