Lima Day 5: Lima 27 and Hanging Ducks

Lunes, 18 Agosto

When last we spoke, "...I went to bed without eating anything further, feeling all proud of myself."

Well, the only problem was that I woke up starving. It was too early for the great Empanada place to be ready to feed me, so I walked randomly until I found a different Panaderia that was good to go. They had quite a selection.

Because I was starving, I bought four: Meat, Cordon Bleu, Chicken and some other one that I don't remember.

They were OK. Not as good as Per-Lizza, but not as expensive either. They were good enough to finish, that's for Sure.

Later in the afternoon, I was in Lince, and I walked by the Hanging Porks and Ducks.

OK, I had to walk seven blocks out of the way to walk by the Hanging Porks and Ducks, but there they were. I ordered Hanging Pork and Hanging Duck. Here's today's video... no fire, but a large hatchet.

After being hatcheted, here's what it looked like. I would have been happier without the Sauce that they poured on it, but I trudged through.

I walked part of the way home, and I passed my favorite Rocoto Relleno place. I didn't get one for only one reason: I wasn't hungry. I blame Viv for this, big time.

Back at home, I nuked one of the Giant Corns that I bought at the wholesale market the other day.

For Dinner, I met my friend Jenny and we ate at Lima 27. Jenny is the undisputed Queen of modeling food for Blog photos because, well, she's a Model and does this for a living. There's a lot I can learn from Jenny.

They started us with Rolls and designer Butter, and a Lamb Meatball on a stick.

For our Appetizers, we shared a plate of mini-Causas (little Mashed Potato balls topped with stuff. In this case, they used different types of Potatoes) and some Grilled Octopus.

Jenny usually doesn't eat a ton, but she held her own this evening, eating half of everything.

For our Main Courses, the waiter did an excellent job selling the Lobster Tail, so we both ordered it.

It was so exciting, I struck a pose and Jenny took the photo. Then we made the waiter take one of both of us with the Lobster.

So it was a Lobster Tail wrapped in Proscutto, with some Vegetables on a few pieces of some Pasta, covered in a delicious Lobster Sauce. We both cleaned our plates.

In a surprise development, we decided to split the Dessert Assortment.

We had a Chocolate Thing, a piece of Cheesecake, a Pistachio Brownie, a couple of Cookies and something that was made from a Fruit called Guanabana, topped with (we think) thinly sliced Plantain.

As we were leaving, we made the Hostess take one more photo. I was rocking a New Hat.

After Dinner, I casino hopped, and when I got home, I had two (not Frozen) Bananas before bed.

That was it, Here's my steps.
