Wednesday

Today's Meals will not be all that glorious. It's the kind of day that allows me to have the glorious ones.

I started Wednesday in the classic way, with a Bowl of Watermelon (breakfast!!). That was followed up with some -- not a lot -- Frozen Grapes. At around noon, I had another Bowl of Watermelon.

At 1:30, I had the Turkey Thigh from last week's bird. All that's left now is the Leg and half the Carcass. I suspect that will go today.

When I took it out of the bag, I thought it was pretty big. But it got eaten quickly, and there was a big bone when I was done, so I'm not that sure. Whatever... it was Turkey.

Then I headed off to the hospital to visit Loretta. A lot of people have written to ask, and the answer is: She's Doing Great. They did PT on Wednesday and she walked and flexed and did everything they hoped that she would do for the day after a knee replacement. She's supposed to go to the Rehab joint on Friday.

Her only problem was the crappy hospital food. So since I was now armed with an excuse, I stopped in the cafeteria before going to her room to check the Soup situation. They had Turkey with Rice and Vegetable Soup. I got two containers (still 89 cents!) of the Vegetable Soup and went upstairs.

I guess that Coral Springs Hospital just makes good Soup. I think that they make good everything (at least for the non-patients) because one of the nurses told me that they sometimes see local people come to the cafeteria, eat, and leave.

Loretta was really happy to see me with two soups. Here she is with hers:

Later that night, I had some more Frozen Grapes, and then before bed, I had a LOT MORE Frozen Grapes.
