Sunday

I woke up this morning and remembered that I still had most of a giant Turkey in my refrigerator.

So I went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and got to work.

I bagged the Leg, the Thigh, and the Wing separately. The two top bags are the carcass; I figure that I can go all Caveman on those. I also bagged half the sliced White Meat on the plate, and had the other half for Breakfast with some Mustard. Being the good and loyal amigo that I am, I drove the Wing over to Lonnise at work for her to have for Lunch.

Then I hung out a Jim and Angela's house for the afternoon.

When I got home, I opened one of the bags of Turkey Carcass.

This was half of what was left of the Turkey's body, after I sliced off all the meat and pieces that I could get to. I gnawed on that thing like I was a dog with a bone. It probably wasn't pretty to watch, but it was awesome to eat. I have no idea how much actual Turkey I ate, but it filled me up both foodwise and emotionally. It felt like I ate a lot, but I think a lot of it was the sense of accomplishment and getting to play with my food, Whatever the case, I enjoyed it, and I got to eat Turkey all day.
