... that's because tomorrow's post will be Friday: Peru Day 1!!!!!
There were five Frozen Grapes in the freezer at the office. I ate them.
While I was out at Lunch time, I passed the Chicken Kitchen on Dixie Highway and Commercial. I remember seeing a beautiful delivery girl from there on time, so I went in.
All I saw was an ugly delivery guy. Regardless, I ordered a Chicken.
It was a perfectly serviceable Chicken.
For Dinner, I headed over to Edwar's new apartment. We whipped up our pre-Christmas Dinner, what with me leaving tomorrow and all. Sergio was supposed to come, but he blew us off.
I only have food photos; we took lots of people photos with his phone, but then I left without them.
It was Shrimp Night. First off, I made my famous Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon. The way it works is, you take Shrimp, and you wrap them in Bacon. You use a toothpick to hold them together.
Then, you fry them. A minute and a half, no more. You take them out and serve them with the delicious Rice, Black Beans and Sausage that Edwar had prepared.
I had five Shrimp wrapped in Bacon. The four you see, and the one I tested while cooking.
We had a lot more Shrimp than we had Bacon. A LOT more.
I took most of the remaining Shrimp, seasoned them with Adobo, and tossed them in a sautee pan with a little oil. When they were half cooked, I stirred in the Black Beans and Sausage, and then added the leftover Rice.
Voila! A makeshift Shrimp Jambalaya!
Absolutely delicious. And that's it for here... I will check in from Lima tomorrow or Saturday.
UPDATE 11:10 PM... I got home and was hungry, so I heated up two cans of the Zesty Gumbo Soup, and added the Mushrooms that were all lonely in my refrigerator.
Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon. . . and fried! Is that good for the heart? Anyway, it looks good.
ReplyDeleteProbably not the absolute best... but five of 'em... who can it hurt?
