Lima Day 3, Part 1: Breakfast/Lunch

Monday, December 2

I headed over to Ed's hotel room. We had to spend the morning working.

On the way, I stopped at a bodega and got two Oranges and two Chicken Salad Sandwiches.

Ed was not a morning eater this day, so I had the Oranges and both Sandwiches.

I had plans to meet my friend Alex for Lunch today. He picked me up at Ed's hotel and we headed out to Cebicheria Richard's.
I wish.

Jenny brought me here last trip, and I really liked it. When we were seated, they brought us the standard Cancha (toasted corn) & a few slices of Chifles (Plantain Chips) and two shots of Leche de Tigre (Cebiche Juice).

For our Appetizers, we split both the Grilled Octopus over Mushroom Risotto and an order of Scallops Parmigiana.

By 'split', I mean that I had seven of the ten Scallops. The Rice & Octopus was split 50/50. In a massive understatement, both Appetizers were delicious.

For my Main Course, I had the Parihuela.

I believe that Parihuela is my favorite Peruvian dish. It is a Seafood Soup with Fish, Shrimp, Mussels, Calamari, Crab, and often other stuff. I've had this before at Richard's; it was equally good this time.

Alex had a Fish Filet. He said that it was OK, but it made him miss the Risotto and Octopus.
