Friday, November 29
The flight was in the evening, so it was nothing to write home about on Friday, but here I am - writing home.
A Bowl of Watermelon.
Another Bowl of Watermelon.
At the airport, Ed and I went to the Food Network Restaurant & Bar. We had three hours to kill.
I had the Turkey Sandwich.
According to the menu, this was Roast Turkey, Mango Chutney, Candied Pecans, Lettuce & Tomatoes and Mayo on Whole Grain Bread. They had Grey Poupon Mustard,, and it was Pretty good. Ed had the Cuban Sandwich.
Then we watched the game at the Jet Blue Bar.
The 'Canes won. It was both a happy day (I was going to Lima) and a sad one (last game of the season), but we are 9-3 and going to a Bowl Game, so there's a lot to be thankful for, not just in life, but in the world of the Hurricanes as well.
Ed said his Cuban Sandwich was good, so I had one of those as well, and then nothing on the flight.
We got into Lima at around midnight and were in Casino Hacienda by 1:15. I had two small (the size of sliders) Grilled Chicken 'sandwichitos' and that was it for the day. We only have four days this trip, so it was on for tomorrow. Monday was shaping up to be the big day, but even small days in Lima rock.
Oh yeah, there were Sweet Potato Fries involved, too. I had half of them, maybe a little more than half.
