Not *my* birthday, but we celebrated two of them.
For Breakfast today, I had the handful of Grapes that were left over from yesterday.
At Lunchtime, I was pretty hungry. I knew that I was eating a large meal for dinner, so i did something extraordinarily stupid and went to Moe's for Lunch. I think that -- except for the fact that they serve a HUGE Burrito -- I did OK.
I ordered their Chimichurri Steak Burrito. Just Steak, Rice, Beans and Vegetables. No Cheese, no Sour Cream, no Guac. It did weigh in at 17 pounds, however.
So back to that Large meal. This week features both Milca and Gordon's birthdays, so I invited them out for a Birthday Dinner. Milca had a coupon (she's a cheap date!), so we all met at Texas de Brazil on Sunrise Boulevard. Milca brought her husband, Robert and Gordon brought his girlfriend, Jennifer. Jennifer is tiny, but she claimed that she could do a Rodizio place justice. She was as good as her word.
I started with an assortment from the Salad Bar, and the "Soup of the Day," Lobster Bisque.
The Salad Bar plate featured Salami, Proschutto, Smoked Salmon and Spicy Shrimp. I only did the one trip and the one Bowl of Soup.
Then the Meat started. I had at least one of everything pictured.
From the top: Top Sirloin, Sausage, Leg of Lamb, Some Steak, Lamb Chops, Filet wrapped in Bacon, some other Steak, Parmesean Pork, Filet (not wrapped in Bacon), Pork Loin, Garlic Sirloin, Beef Ribs.
Jennifer and Milca had Caipirinhas, while the gentlemen stuck with water.
Milca said it was her favorite drink of all-time, and Jennifer was having a grand old time, both with what was going on in her glass and on her plate.
Here's some more Happy Diner Photos:
We all had a grand old time. Everyone passed on Dessert and we all waddled back to our cars to get home.
Here's a Team Photo. I actually remembered to take my hat with me when we left.
