It was weigh-in day, so I took it light during the day. Just two hard Boiled Eggs.
After Weight Watchers (down 2.2 pounds!), Kathy and I went out to Hiro Maru for Sushi. Kathy used to be our substitute group leader when Viv was out, but now she has her own class on Monday nights. Vivian wasn't going to be in this week, so I drove down to Hollywood to see Kathy. Her and Viv's styles are similar, and Lonnise and I like them a lot more than most of the other leaders.
We started off by sharing a roll called Grouper Garlic Roll.
This looked great in person, and smelled even better due to the Garlic. The restaurant did not have any Grouper, so they substituted with Wahoo. The fish was cut up and sauteed with Garlic and the little orange Fish Roe and put on top of a California Roll. I had five of the 8 pieces.
We both ordered an Appetizer of Stir Fried Vegetables. They were delicious, and allowed us to walk proud, diet-wise. Here's mine.
After that, I started with a Salmon Skin Hand Roll, and Kathy had the Tuna Tataki.
For our final dishes, I had the Fuji Mountain Roll.
This was a Spicy Tuna Roll, topped with (according to the menu) Tempura Flakes. I think that there was more than that involved on top, however. It was good.
Kathy had the Mango Tango Roll.
She liked it a lot; I'm not a big Mango Fan, but I can see where the sweetness could give a unique flavor.
I finished all of mine, but Kathy took some of hers home. She proved very adept at posing for Blog Photos, though. We told stories until we were the last customers left.
When I got home, I remembered that had Frozen Grapes, so I had a couple of Bowls while I watched Ice Dancing.
