Well, I was just insane today. If you have a better word, I will take it, but 'insane' pretty much sums it up.
I started off with a package of Turkey Breast Roll-Ups for Breakfast.
Then, two Bowls of Watermelon.
Ed and I were booked on the Majesty of the Seas for the 3-night Bahamas Cruise. We got there, dropped off our bags and went right to the Lunch Buffet, where I had two plates.
The first plate had Tilapia, Paella and Vegetables. There was also a Bowl of Fruit involved. The Second plate featured more Paella and some Stir-Fry Broccoli.
After just one Buffet Meal (and this one is usually the worst of any cruise), I would rate Royal Carribbean's food above the other two 3-day cruises I've taken (NCL and Carnival). Also, the ship seems pretty nice.
Then I rested, because we have the 9:00 pm Dinner seating.
Before meeting Ed for some pre-Dinner gambling, I rushed up to the Dinner Buffet, where I first had some Pizza (terrible), and a plate with Lox, something called Chicken Cebiche. amd some Fried Chicken Breast with a little Sauce, Cheese and a tiny bit of Ham.
This kept me until Dinner.
In the Dining Room, I had three (yes... THREE) Appetizers.
The first was Scallops, the second was Onion Soup and the last was a mix of Eggplant and Olives. The first two were very good, and the Eggplant thing tasted OK, I guess, but it was a little wierd.
Ed started with Scallops and then a Shrimp Cocktail.
For our Main Course, we both had the Veal Shank. It was served with Mashed Potatoes and some Vegetables.
I did not have any Dessert, what with me being on a diet and all. Ed had something that looked sugary and good.
As if all that wasn't enough, when I got back to my room after some more gambling (I actually won!!), I called room service, just to test them out.
That's a Steak Sandwich and Fries. The Sandwich... OK; the Fries, probably would have been good an hour earlier, or never.
Hopefully, tomorrow will be better, but I'm not optimistic. We're going to the island, and there will be Ribs.
On a happier note, everyone in the office now has a FitBit Tracker. I was the last holdout.
When I remember, I will post my steps and stuff here. This is the first day's results.
