New Year's Eve: Dale

A Bowl of Watermelon.

Another Bowl of Watermelon. It's confirmed... my protest over the Watermelon Price Rise has failed.

I nuked some Asparagus for lunch. I forget how much I like Asparagus until I eat it. I was so excited, I forgot to take a photo. Luckily, I snapped one of John when he grabbed a couple.

Later, another Bowl of Watermelon.

Joe Robert and I had tickets to see Pitbull in Miami for New Year's Eve. We went to Hot Pot in Hollywood for Dinner on the way south.

It was a Holiday, and I had a Groupon, so we went wild. We had two Appetizers.

On the top are their Mussels Dynamite. They're baked with some Spicy Stuff on top. The second Appetizer was Kimchee Lobster Ceviche. Pretty randomly, Joe Robert was telling me in the car that he liked Kimchee; I had never had it. The dish was a Daily Special, so we pretty much were obligated to order it. It had pieces of Lobster, Lime and Cilantro, Onions, and some Sauce. Joe Robert said the Kimchee flavor was in the Sauce. I think that I still haven't had Kimchee. Either way, both Appetizers were delicious, and we each ate half.

Once we finished the Appetizers, the Waitress brought us the top of the Lobster. We weren't counting on that, so it was a treat having a Claw each.

We shared a Hot Pot for our Main Course. The way this works is you order two flavored Broths, and then all kinds of stuff to throw in the Soup. We ordered their Hot and their House Broths (there are four choices). The Hot option has Mushrooms in it, so it is like getting More Stuff.

Then, they delivered our stuff.

Pictured are: Noodles, Cabbage, Bok Choy, Pork, Shrimp, Scallops, Bean Sprouts and Garlic. We ordered Meatballs, too, but they never made it to the table. Joe Robert cound not believe the wealth of food!

I had three Bowls of Soup; two of them with Noodles. Joe Robert had two and a half.

There was plenty of Broth left over, but not a lot of Stuff.

Amazingly, we weren't hungry after that. We went to the concert and had a great time.

That's it for the day and the year. Happy New Year everyone. Dale.
