Well, my secret
plan to get woken up with Fruit & Coffee failed miserably; I think that I
wrote the wrong room number on the request slip.
I met Denise and Patrick at 9:30. Denise wasn't feeling well, so Patrick and I set off on our Nassau Adventure. First Stop: The Dining Room for Breakfast.
Patrick had a more standard Omelet. He is improving at taking Blog photos.
We then went on the island, hit the Dunkin Donuts for Coffee and took a City Tour, the highlight of which was me shooting a cannon at a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship.
After the tour, Patrick and I retired to the Club... The Bahamas Cricket Club, that is. We went Conch-Wild there. We started with Conch Chowder.
Our waitress, Clinique, brought us some bread to go with the Soup.
After that, it was Conch Salad and Conch Fritters.
The reason that
there are two things of Fritters is that we ordered the Large Order. They
brought the Small one and we were fine with that. When they figured out what
had happened, they foisted the Large ones on us, too.
I ate all my Soup,
about 2/3 of the Conch Salad, and more than half of the expanded order of Fritters.
I learned something
at Dinnertime: "Anytime Dining" is fun and convenient, except for the
time when EVERYONE wants to eat dinner at once. The line for a table was
halfway around the ship after the first football game ended. We went up to look
at the Buffet, but it was not all that exciting. Denise was still not feeling
well, so Patrick and I left the boat again and went to eat at Sharkeez, right
outside the Port. They were showing football.
I might have had one more than half of them, but I'm not sure.
Patrick has clearly grown leaps and bounds in just a short time in his ability to take a good Blog Photo. As to the food, my Fish was fine. I ate the whole thing. Patrick polished off his Steak as well.
