Titanic (and other stuff)

Thursday, November 14

A Bowl of Watermelon.

I was running errands at Lunchtime, so I stopped at the Salvadorian place on Andrews Avenue and got two portions of their Coctail de Conchas Negras to go.

The to-go size is much smaller than what they serve at the restaurant, so I wound up paying too much for Lunch. The good thing is that this has to be a very low point item. Very few clams, water, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, spices, and (I think) Worcestershire Sauce.

Another Bowl of Watermelon.

I went with D'Angelo down to Coral Gables to watch the Hurricanes play basketball against Texas Southern. At the game, we had a tub of popcorn. I ate about a third of it, maximum.

After the game (the 'Canes won), we went down the street to the Titanic Brewing Company for Dinner. I started with the Crawfish Chowder.

It was, well, it was Soup.

For my main course, I had the Meatloaf, and I substituted all Vegetables for the Mashed Potatoes.

It was good Meatloaf, I guess. I always think that I like Meatloaf, and I am always underwhelmed. Can't blame the Titanic for that. Also, I forgot to specify how I wanted the Vegetables cooked, so there was some Butter involved there.

D'Angelo had the Skirt Steak.

He said it was really good, and he finished it, so I guess he enjoyed it.

I had always wanted to go to the Titanic. Usually, they are packed after baseball games, so this was my first opportunity. They brew their own beers, so maybe this isn't the place to go for food. Anyway, next time I am in Coral Gables, I am heading to the Sports Grill for my food.
