Cypress Nook: It's the Wurst! :D

Wednesday, November 20

What can I say? I like Watermelon.

A Bowl of Watermelon.

Another Bowl of Watermelon

A third Bowl of Watermelon.

Yet another Bowl of Watermelon.

Lonnise and I went to Dinner tonight. I have been talking about my Lunch at the end of April at Cypress Nook for months now,  and we finally scheduled a night for her to try it, and for me to have a triumphant return. We kept trying to go on Mondays, but they kept only being open for Dinner on Wednesday through Saturday nights.

We both started with the Soup of the Day... Hungarian Goulash. I had a Bowl; Lonnise had a Cup. I am bigger than Lonnise.

This was unlike any Hungarian Goulash that I've ever had. It was a thin, beef/tomato based broth with chunks of meat floating around. It was really good, and this had to be cooking a long time because the meat was very, very tender.

Cypress Nook has many different dishes on their menu, but -- for me -- they have Wursts. Bratwurst, Knockwurst... all kinds of Wursts. And if I can say something about me, it would be: I Like Sausages. I like them as much as I like Soup. So I ordered Sausages.

That's two Bratwursts. That's Red Cabbage and that's Sauerkraut on the side. And it is topped with their Berliner Red Curry Sauce. They only offer the Curry at Dinner, so I had to try it. I just had to. The Curry was good, but I thought about it after, and I don't think that the Wursts needed the Curry Sauce. I would have the Curry Sauce on other stuff, or I would buy some to take home, but I wouldn't get it on the Sausages again... they just don't need them. And the Cabbage is even better than the Sausages. I finished the whole thing. I licked the plate clean after.

Lonnise got the Bratwursts with double Red Cabbage. She knows what's what.

That's it for dinner. They had Strudel, but we passed.

Later on, at home, I had about a third of a Bowl of Watermelon.
