A Night at the Opera

Tuesday, November 19

It was pretty much a Grapefest because I was meeting Loretta for the Opera and we were going out somewhere for Dinner.

Frozen Grapes.

I nuked a Lean Vuisine Ranchero Braised beef for Lunch.

Every time I have that one, I am surprised as to how good it is.

More Frozen Grapes.

Loretta and I went to Dinner ar Trulucks on Brickell Avenue in Miami. We have been wanting to try them out for a while, but we always wind up somewhere else. We both started with the Lobster Bisque.

For my Main Course, I had the Grouper Ponchartrain.

This was Grouper over Rice and topped with a mix of Crawfish, Shrimp and Crab Meat in a slighly-spicy sauce.

Loretta had the Chilean Sea Bass. Here she is, ready to dig in:

We both passed on Dessert and Coffee because we wanted to get to the show on time.

Everything was very good, and the service was excellent, but two appetizers, two main dishes, two glasses of wine and parking came to $132, plus tip. The was good, but not $150 worth of good.

What was good was how I looked at the Opera. One of the ushers took this photo.

After the show, and after I dropped Loretta off at her house, I had some more Frozen Grapes before Bed.

  1. Hey Rich,
You shed quite a few pounds. You look good, man: slim and healthy. Time to buy a smaller coat.

  2. Thanks, man.

But I have to leave some room... I am off to Lima for parts of December!

Did you get to go to Central Restaurant and/or El Mercado?

  3. LOL. You won't need a coat in Lima in December. The heat and all the walking you have to do will keep you in shape no matter how many restaurants you hit.

I wanted to take the family to Lima for the holidays but the prices were too steep during that time. We are going to DR instead and then go to Lima in April during school's Spring break.

El Mercado and Central are on my list. I just have to wait till April.
