I put a small (13 pound) Turkey in the refrigerator to defrost on Tuesday. It was ready this morning. I broke it out, trimmed it and got it ready.
I was feeling experimental, so I made a Marinade out of Dijon Mustard, Garlic Paste, Onion Flakes, a spicy Poultry Seasoning that I had in the house and Sriracha Sauce. I mixed it all together and I trotted out my new brush.
I got it all ready, and loaded up the Roaster.
Three hours and 20 minutes later, it was done. I took it out of the Roaster to cool, and while I was waiting, I enjoyed the Turkey Neck.
The Neck is on one of my new plates, by the way. I carved the Bird and started with this plate.
After that, I had the Thigh.
Ed and I went to the Mall for a while (I don't have enough shoes, apparently). When we got back, I had another plate of Turkey and some Sour Pickles that I had picked up at a Farmers' Market.
That was it for the Turkey. I couldn't sleep at night (I was up until 5 am), so I spent the next few hour having Frozen Grapes (two Bowls) and two Bowls of Watermelon.
Here's my steps for the day.
