Lima Day 12: Going Home

Monday, May 19

We got up early because the taxi was going to be waiting at 6:00 am. Cinthya came with me & Ed to the airport, presumably to make sure that we left the country.

After doing all the check-in stuff, we went to 4D for Breakfast. 4D is a chain of 'Cafeterias' in Lima, and they have a branch in the airport. Peru... even the airport food's good.

I ordered a 4D Sandwich, Cinthya had an Empanada, and Ed had an Omelet.

I clearly still need to work on posing for Blog photos... everyone else does it better. My Sandwich had Ham, Cheese, Crumbled Egg and something else, maybe Turkey. And some Cream Sauce. The 4D Sandwich was the first thing I ever ate in Peru, so when I get all nostalgic at the airport, that's what I order.

Also, as a reward for actually getting on the plane and going home, I get two scoops of Gelado, sort of as a consolation prize.

On the plane, I slept through the Sandwich portion of the trip, but I was awake for Lunch. The food was made in Peru, so I took a chance on the Seco de Res (Beef Stew).

It didn't suck. I didn't want to press my luck, so I passed on the cake, and slept until we got to Florida.

We stopped on the way back from the airport at Villa Rose Pizza in Hollywood. This would be my last chance to rationalize anything like Pizza for a while (I'm still on Vacation), and they have good Pizza.

For Appetizers, Ed ordered a Ceasar Salad, and I had their NEW (that's what the Menu said) Ribs in Chili Sauce.

They were good enough I guess, but I can't see driving to Hollywood to order them again.

The Pizza is a different story.

Their Pizza is fabulous. Thin Crust, delicious Sauce, not too much Cheese... it's got it all. I ate a little more than half.

That's it. After that, I went home, sat in my chair, and woke up at 4:00 am fully dressed. Here's my steps.
