First, a beautiful picture of Scallops.
Cinthya and I went right downstairs to Dona Paulina for Breakfast. Literally, could have worn my slippers.
I had a Pan con Chicharron (Pork Sandwich), and she had a Turkey Sandwich. I used to own a blue sweater.
After Cinthya went off to work, I headed to visit the Seafood Lady to get a proper Breakfast. I told her that I wanted a Cebiche with Clams and Scallops. Of course, I got the Chilcano Soup first.
There was fish there, too.
For Lunch, I had bought a Groupon for Jose Antonio's Buffet for about US$15. The regular price is 90 Soles, so I figured I would go one day when I was alone. I headed out to San Borja and arrived at around 2 pm.
Jose Antonio is one of my go-to places, so I figured that they would do a good job on the buffet. When I got there, I saw that it was large, for a start.
Jose Antonio serves classic Peruvian Food. The kind that my friends' grandmothers made back in the day. Everything I had was good; I had three plates.
From top to bottom, you're looking at Tiradito in Salsa de Aji, Pastel de Choclo, Stuffed Artichoke, Choros a la Chalaca and some Causa. In photo #2, there's another Pastel de Choclo, Stuffed Ajis, something I don't remember, Rocoto Relleno, and Aji de Gallina. The bottom photo sports yet another Pastel de Choclo, Papa Rellena, Giant Corn Kernels and Lomo Saltado.
Dessert was included so I had a Chocolate Mousse.
And then another Chocolate Mousse.
That kept me going until around 11:00 pm. I was out casino-hopping (I won), and Luis and I stopped at Mr. Tack for some Mexican Food, Peruvian style. By 'Peruvian style,' I mean that it tasted good.
We both had Tacos... mine was stuffed with Sausage and Pork, and Luis had a 'special' one -- I'm not sure what was in it.
They called them Tacos, but in my mind, these were Burritos. Luis could only eat half of his. I finished mine; I'm a professional.
That was it for the day. Here's my steps.
