Spain Restaurant! Heat Win! Spain Restaurant! Heat WIn!

What a night. And the Heat won.

I started the day in Florida; ended in New York City. LeBron dropped 35.

At the Ft. Lauderdale airport, they have a mini-Pei Wei in the food court. I just see them and get hungry. I ordered a plate of six Spring Rolls, thinking that they were the un-fried, rice-wrapped variety. I was wrong. Battier sank six 3s!

Now, I'm a grownup. They were only six dollars. I could have tossed them and gotten something else. Hell, I probably could have even returned them. I ate all six. Did I mention LeBron grabbed 12 rebounds?

I got to Michael and Anna's house in Brooklyn at around 4:30. There were blueberries. I ate six of them. Dwayne Wade rose from the dead with 23 points.

Michael and I met Debbie at Spain Restaurant for Dinner. I have been going to Spain for my whole life. Nothing has changed... the waiters are the same guys, the 100-year-old bartender is still there, the actual plates are the same, the menu is unchanged. I don't get to New York much, but every time I do, it's different. Except Spain Restaurant. Ray Allen grabs 4 boards and has 4 assists. He leaves the scoring to Battier.

You sit down, and they bring you dinner before you even order. They give you each a salad, and then bring three appetizers (free) to the table before you even order. Flattop never took off his warmup suit. This game was important.

The free Appetizers (for our table) were Sausages, Mussels (cold) with onions and stuff on them, and Lamb Ribs in a Salt Sauce. Michael ate most of the Sausage, I ate most of the Ribs, and the three of us split the Mussels evenly. Other tables got Meatballs and Potatoes... it's pretty random. Super Mario: 14 points.

We ordered a main dish to share as an Appetizer.

This baby is Sliced BBQ Pork in an Almond Sauce. I love it, Michael loves it, Debbie doesn't eat meat. More for us. It comes with the Yellow Rice. Apparently, Danny Green and Gary Neal only hit Threes when it doesn't matter.

For our main course, we split two dishes that I have been ordering for 40+ years: Paella and Mariscada in Green Sauce. In honor of Debbie's dietary limits, we got the Paella with just Seafood. Dwayne Wade: Two blocks.

Here's the first of my plates, Debbie making her reluctant Blog debut with the Paella, and Michael happily modeling the dead soldiers. The total for all this opulence (including a Soup for Michael and a drink and a few Sodas): $95. A miracle. Tony Parker: 10 Points. In France, that's considered good.

Each dish was better than the one before it. Lots of things in NYC are not what they once were. Spain has resisted all change; I hope it stays that way for the next, I don't know... 30 years. Here's one of me & Debbie. We looked like this when we were 16. Heat Win!!

Finals MVP: Lebron James.
