At work, I was starving all of a sudden, so I had a small handful of Peanuts.
Ed buys these Hub brand Nuts by the case. They're really good, and it has -- amazingly -- been about a year since I've had any.
Then, off to the Airport for my High School (fake) Reunion in New York. I got checked in and through security very quickly, so the food court called me. I went to the Pei Wei outlet store.
For absolutely No Good Reason, I ordered two items at Pei Wei: The Chicken Lettuce Wrap and Pei Wei Spicy Chicken with Brown Rice.
Neither of them were very good; in fact, the Lettuce Wrap was pretty horrible. I finished both of them.
I got to New York and to Anna & Michael's house at around 9:45. Michael was out, but Anna (being the good Mom that she is) correctly figured out that I was hungry, and offered to whip up some of the Leftovers from the Meal she had made for her daughters' friends earlier.
She had this Pasta made out of Brown Rice.
It tasted pretty much like Pasta, just maybe a little bit 'heavier.' If I didn't know the difference, I wouldn't have been able to tell, especially with the Sauces that she served with it.
The top one was Mushrooms and Garlic in a Not-Too Creamy Sauce, and the bottom one was Tomato Sauce with (I think she said) Pork. I ate both of them and liked both of them. Anna keeps a house full of food (they have three daughters), but very little of it is prepared. She's always whipping something up, so it's always exciting to sit there and talk to her while she's cooking. She also introduced me to Concord Grapes, but that's a story for another day.
That was it for the day, food-wise. I had to leave room for Saturday and Sunday.
