A bowl of Watermelon and a lot of Frozen Grapes throughout the day... that's all.
I picked up Loretta and we schlepped all the way across Broward County to get on the boat to go to Cap's Place Island Restaurant. We both really like it there, and I had asked for Nancy to take our table when I made our reservation.
And Nancy it was. She makes a big deal out of me when I get there, and she always makes everyone feel at home. And she's pretty damn funny, too.
Loretta and I both started with the Crabcake. First, mine and then, Loretta with hers.
They are just wonderful. For my money, they're the best around. Other people may have their favorites, and they may be right, but I really, really, like the Crab Cakes at Cap's. And I eat out a lot.
I stuck with an old favorite for my main dish, the Shellfish Medley.
This dish features three jumbos Scallops, three Shrimp, three Clams, some Chunks of Fish and some Vegetables (very few of those), served over White Rice. I once again renewed my membership in the Clean Plate Club.
Loretta and Nancy conferred for a while, and she would up with a plate of Scallops in some sort of tangy sauce, with some Spinach, and Squash and Mashed Sweet Potato on the side. She said she really liked it, and was even good enough to offer one Scallop to me.
That was it for us. No Dessert; no Coffee. Here's Loretta with Nancy:
Around 11:00, back in my house, I had two Pickles.
