Wednesday... (drumroll): Catfish. And Peruvian Food

Wednesday, July 2

Frozen Grapes. A lot of Frozen Grapes.

For Lunch, I heated up the leftover Catfish that I made on Monday.

Yes, there was Catfish in there. I love Catfish; I could eat it every day. Oh, I have eaten it every day.

Later, I had a bag of Carrots.

Then, more Frozen Grapes. A lot of Frozen Grapes.

Before I went home, I nuked up a bunch of Asparagus.

I met Lonnise for Dinner. We went to a new (to us) place: Chifa Peru on University Drive, just north of Sunset Strip.

'Chifa' is what Peruvians call Chinese Food. They're very proud of it... me, I think it's not that great, as compared to how great 'regular' Peruvian food is.

Anyway, they had a non-Chifa menu, too. Lonnise and I ordered two dishes to share: Aji de Gallina and Juanes.

Aji de Gallina is Shredded Chicken in a slightly Spicy Sauce. It's served over a few Potatoes and with White Rice. Juanes is a dish from the Jungle Regions of Peru. It is, in effect, Chicken and Rice, except it is wrapped in Banana Leaves and then baked. I have only had this dish when I was indeed in the Jungle, so I jumped all over it. Lonnise was pretty impressed, too.

We split both dishes, with me eating more than Lonnise. She preferred the Aji de Gallina. So did I; it wasn't the best example of Juanes ever, but it was still a treat for me.

Later, at home, I had some more Frozen Grapes.

Here's my steps. Zero very active steps two days in a row... Summer sucks for exercise.
