Post-Soup Week Weekend

Saturday, July 12

I am still all aglow from Soup Week.

For Breakfast/Lunch, I finished off the last of the Jerk Pork Soup from Friday.

Brent and I -- inexplicably -- decided to go to the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers soccer game at Lockhart Stadium on Commercial Blvd.

Sadly, Strikers Soccer is just as horrible as we imagined. I did, however, get my Federally-mandated Cheerleader photos, and a picture with Hotshot, the Strikers' not-so-wacky mascot.

True to form, the Strikers lost 3-0. They'll have to get through the rest of the season without us.

After the game, Brent and I went to Stout on Andrews Avenue. There was supposedly a post-game party at Bokampers on the Intracoastal, but we felt that it would be sad, even before the loss.

We both had Wings. I gave Brent my Blue Cheese Dressing.

They claim to be Grilled, but they came out pretty fast, so I'm not sure.

Later, at the house, I had two and a half Peaches (the third one was hard), and a Bowl of Watermelon.

Here's my steps.

Sunday, July 13

I spent most of the day Eating Watermelon and Brussels Sprouts and watching the World Cup FInal. Both teams could have beaten the Strikers with one foot tied behind their backs. Or something.

Ed, Byron and I went out in the evening. After a rousing game of "where should we go?," we wound up at Shenanagans on Federal Highway in Hollywood.

I was going to get the Big Pork Sandwich, but at the last minute, I went for Wings instead. Byron had a Hamburger, and Ed had the Mahi-Mahi special, with Grilled Vegetables and Rice.

The Wings were good, but Ed said that his Fish plate was excellent. I had one of his slices of Squash.

That's it. Here's my steps for the day.
