Weekend Update

Saturday, April 12

It was Do Loretta's Taxes Day, so I got to her house just in time for an early Lunch. Since we had business to take care of in the house, she was forced to whip something up. She asked me about it on Thursday, and I voted for Fish and Vegetables. Loretta came through like a champ.

She bought us each a piece of Halibut, and also broke open two packages of Green Giant Vegetables -- one was mixed, and the other was Brussels Sprouts. There are Green Beans and Almonds in the first picture, but she saved those for another day.

Everything came out good. And low-points.

Later, at home, I opened a HUGE (over 6 pound) can of Collared Greens (virtually nothing added to it), and I spruced it up with Garlic Slivers, Onion Flakes, a mixed Spice and Hot Sauce.

It didn't come out as great as I hoped, but it wasn't terrible, either. And it was filling.

For Dinner, I heated up the remaining Turkey Necks from last Saturday's Turkey Neck Saturday Extravaganza.

What I should have done was pop the Turkey Necks in the Collard Greens, but I didn't think of that in time. That would have been just what the Greens needed.

That was it for the day. I didn't eat much, but then again, I didn't walk much either.

Sunday, April 13

We could have called this post Didn't Eat Too Much Weekend.

I coasted through the day with just a few cups of Coffee. When I got home, I broke out two pieces of Smoked Fish.

My friend Jay makes this from Fish he catches, and he gave me a couple of pieces on Wednesday.

I think he said it was Mackerel, but I'm not quite sure. Whatever it was, it was really good. I tried to buy some from him, but he insisted on giving those to me. He fishes a lot and likes to smoke what he catches, so I am going to try again to get him to sell me some on a regular basis. I want to eat more of this than I would be comfortable taking from him for free.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps; they're more than on Saturday, but still not close to where they should be.
