Runyon's

Tuesday, April 29

Loretta took me out for my Birthday Dinner tonight. Here's me Digging In:

In the morning, Watermelon. Lots of Watermelon.

For Lunch, I cut up three Yellow Squashes and nuked them. I also had the leftover Turkey Neck Soup from Turkey Neck Friday.

Then, some more Watermelon. It was the last day of the sale at Albertsons.

My birthday was Saturday, and Loretta and I decided on Tuesday for my Dinner. I got to pick the place. Loretta lives in Tamarac, not far from Runyon's. I like Runyon's. Runyon's sends you a 50% off your entree for your birthday coupon. I chose Runyon's.

For our Appetizers, I had the Scallops and Loretta had a Soft Shell Crab... the second Soft Shell my dining companion has ordered in two days!

Our next course was the items that came with the Main Course. I chose the Vegetable Beef Soup, and Loretta went for the Salad.

Main Course Time. I ordered an End Cut Prime Rib, with Au Poivre Sauce on the side, and Spinach. And Rice. Loretta decided on the Macadamia Crusted Chilean Sea Bass.

There are those who will say, "Rich -- That's freaking huge! What are you thinking?"  Well, a couple of weeks ago, they gave us this chart thing at Weight Watchers so you could decide whether or not you should eat something. In the flowchart, there was a box that said, "Is it your birthday?" Well, it was.

Anyway, I only at a ton of the Roast Beef. I took a large piece home for Lunch tomorrow. Loretta ate half of her Fish, too.

We both passed on Coffee, but since it was my birthday, they brought me a mini-Baked Alaska for my birthday.

I hardly ever eat sweets, but I had a very small taste of it, and so did Loretta. And there was still about 3/4 of it left when we were done.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Sweep!

Monday, April 28

OK, so we swept the Hornets in the first round. No big deal, right? Just ask the Thunder. Or the Pacers.

Two Hard-Boiled Eggs

Lonnise and I went to Hott Leggz to watch the Heat game. Our Lucky Waitress, Danielle, wasn't there, so we got Katie. Ugh.

We split 30 Jerk Wings.

By 'split,' I mean that Lonnise had five or six of them. They were too hot for her. Later, I also had a bowl of their 'special' Spinach. It came with Ham & Tomatoes and Gorgonzola.

Lonnise also had a Chicken Taco and and two Soft-Shell Crabs.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.

Birthday Weekend Recap

Saturday, April 26

I woke up, and it was my birthday, so I opened my gift from Milca and it was a White Hot Heat cap.

I love it. I drove around for a while and went to thrift shops. I bought what I hope is the perfect glass for my Blooming Tea, so I came home and made a glass.

Lonnise, Jeff and I went to CJs Draft House in Deerfield Beach to watch the Heat beat up on the Hornets. They have big screens and the Sound On.

I had a Mess of Wings; Jeff had a Steak Sandwich and Lonnise had a much smaller plate of Wings.

They were excellent.

That was it for Saturday. Here's my steps.

Sunday, April 27

Didn't eat much; I was full from the Mess off Wings.

Lonnise and I walked around Pompano Park (the one with the Blimp)... 4.4 miles!

Later, watching basketball, I nuked up a Lean Cuisine Salmon with Basil.

It was OK, but not a glamorous as the box, or as delicious as I hoped.

Some of the Lean Cuisine stuff is good, but I wouldn't buy this one again.

That's it for Sunday. Here's my steps.

Turkey Neck Friday

Friday, April 25

A good day all around. I started off with three Frozen Bananas on the way to the office.

When I got to the office, Milca surprised me with a birthday gift. I will open it tomorrow, on my birthday.

Two Hard-Boiled Eggs.

For Lunch, in honor of my Birthday, we ordered out Peruvian food from Cabo Blanco. I had a Pollo Saltado.

As for the other attendees, Junior had a Jalea, Raquel had one too. Val had Steak, and Shauna also got the Pollo Saltado. Toni and Gordon ate with us, too, but they brought their own Lunch. I thought the Pollo dish was OK, Val liked her Steak, but Junior and Raquel were unimpressed with their Jaleas... they looked a little overcooked. I need to get them to Lima 51 for an excellent Jalea.

On the way home, I picked up some Turkey Necks, and broke out the Turkey Neck Stuff.

I had a plate of Necks.

Later, I had another plate of Necks, then another plate of Necks.

That was it for cooked food, but by this time, well, it was my Birthday, so I celebrated with five more Frozen Bananas.

Here's my steps for the day.

Well-Rounded Thursday

Thursday, April 24

Two Hard-Boiled Eggs.

Three Bowls of Watermelon. Here's a picture of one of them.

Along with the Watermelon, I had bought 10 ounces of Roasted Turkey Breast at Albertson's. I did Mustard Roll-Ups.

For Dessert, more Watermelon. The Bobblehead helped.

A Banana in the car on the way home, and two more in the house (not Frozen).

Earlier in the week, Jeff (work Jeff) brought me a piece of Snook that he had caught himsef. They're hard-to-catch and are really tasty, he said.

I broke out the Brussels Sprouts, Spices, and got ready to broil the Fish.

Jeff was right; it was really good. I'm not great at broiling thick pieces of Fish, so I had to cook the center of it a second time.

Later, while scouting the Thunder, I had some Strawberries and Mixed Melon.

The Melon was OK, but the Strawberries were great. They're cheap and delicious, so I guess that they're in season.

Here's my steps for the day.
