Sunday, March 9
What better way to start a Sunday than a walk to Surquillo Mercado #2 and paying a visit to the Seafood Lady.
That's her and Ed from Last year's trip. She still looks the same.
Anyway, I had her make me a Mixed Fish & Seafood Cebiche. It comes with a Bowl of Chilcano, which is a Fish Stock Soup with a little Seafood thrown in, just to be cool.
It was almost $7. I think she gringo taxes me -- that would explain why she is always happy to see me, but it's worth every Sol.
I didn't eat the rest of the day until I met up with Sandra for Dinner. It was Sunday night, and our first choices were closed, so we wound up at Tanta's San Isidro location.
We started by sharing a Pastel de Choclo.
This pretty much a Corn Brownie, with some Meat and Raisins thrown in, just to keep you interested. It's really good.
For our Main Courses, I had a Mixed Saltado (with Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef) and Sandra had Arroz con Pollo (Rice with Chicken).
I really liked mine, and Sandra said that the Rice was better than the Chicken.
That was it for the day, food-wise. Here's my steps.
