Things are Always Hotter in Texas

Thursday, June 5

Two Hard-Boiled Eggs. A Bowl of Watermelon.

Another Bowl of Watermelon.

Frozen Grapes. They are $1.49 per pound in Save-A-Lot.

Another Bowl of Watermelon.

We were going to meet Jeff in Boynton to watch Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but the game doesn't start until 9:00 pm, and I wasn't going to make it that long without eating something. Luckily, I had a Spaghetti Squash in inventory at home (Star!), so I cut it up, sprayed just a bit of Olive Oil, sprinkled some Spices, and nuked it.

This was the first time I had nuked a Spaghetti Squash, but Viv coached me (thanks, FB chat!), and I cooked each half around 8 minutes. I added Salsa (half a jar for each half of the Squash).

I mixed it all up, and it not only kept me at bay until later, but it was pretty tasty. And when I use Salsa, there's really no prep work involved.

Brent and I drove up to Alabama Joes on Boynton Beach Blvd., just off the Turnpike. We had a waitress who -- don't quote me -- was in the witness protection program. How else can you explain a pretty girl who didn't want her picture taken, and had a unique name, but claimed not to know the backstory of why her parents supposedly named her.

Anyway, it was 56490703 at the arena in San Antonio, and the Heat got stomped. LeBron kept me on the phone all night, telling me about his cramps.

I had a delicious Jambalaya, Brent had Wings, and Jeff had Dessert.

That was it for the day. Here's my steps.
