Monday & Tuesday: Fish & Seafood. And Soup.

Monday, February 16

Edwar and I were running errands at Lunch time, so we went to the Secret Mexican Place on Dixie Highway. It has a name, but damned if I know what it is.

I had Beef Soup, and Edwar had Tacos.

For Dinner, I stopped at Albertsons and bought some Catfish, and I rummaged in my pantry to see what to add. I came up with two cans of Spinach, some Mushrooms, and keeping with the day's Mexican theme, some Mexican Hot Sauce.

It all cooked up nicely.

Later, some Frozen Grapes.

Here's my steps:

Tuesday, February 17

Frozen Grapes in the morning. Here's some of them.

On Saturday, I bought some Goya Ceviche Marinade at FoodTown. It wasn't Peruvian, but I am nothing if not open-minded. Unlike the Cebiche back home, this stuff told us to let it marinade for up to a couple of days, so I cut up some Talipia and got it going.

So for Lunch, Edwar brought some leftover Steak to the table, and I added the Ceviche.

It didn't look like much in the containers, but Edwar's Steak was very good (he bought a new knife, and was very excited) and once I got past what I *thought* the Ceviche should taste like, I decided that it wasn't bad, either.

But it wasn't real Cebiche, not by a long shot.

Rosa was in the office this week, She's Peruvian, and didn't have dinner plans, so we went to Saxsay Cafe on Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac. Loretta and I went there a couple of months ago, and we both liked their food.

Rosa and I started by sharing a Cebiche Mixto.

This was mixed Seafood. I was showing off, so I told the waitress that we wanted it SPICY, and yes, it was.

For our Main Courses, I had a Parihuela (Mixed Seafood Soup), and Rosa had an Aguadito (a different Peruvian Soup).

Everything was delicious. Rosa took half of hers home with her for Lunch the next day. Me, I finished mine.

Later, at home, Frozen Grapes.

Here's Tuesday's steps.
