I Hold A Baby. And Eat Chilean Food. And Catfish.

Friday, November 7

First, and most important, I got to hold a Baby.

That's Edwar & Jennifer's new son, Antonio. Daniela wanted in on the picture, too... she's not shy around a camera. I think it is a stellar Blog debut for Antonio.

A Bowl of Watermelon.

Larry and I had to run down to Hollywood at Lunch time, so we stopped at Viva Chile Lindo to grab a bite.

I usually get the Pastel de Choclo, but when I was there with Lonnise a couple of weeks ago, I saw a large Soup at another table... I had to investigate.

Yes, they had Soup. Yes, it was enough for Lunch. You could choose Beef or Chicken; I chose Beef. Yes, it had a name. No, I don't remember the name. I ordered it.

It had a hunk of some Beef. It had been cooked a long time, so it was soft and stringy. Very good. It also had a Potato, piece of Corn, and a small piece of Squash. The Broth was pretty nondescript until I added some Hot Sauce. It was good -- I love Soup, but the Pastel de Choclo is better. It came with a very nice Tomato and Onion Salad.

Speaking of Pastel de Choclo, Larry took my recommendation and was very happy with his dish.

I had another Bowl of Watermelon at around 4:00.

For Dinner, Edwar and Jennifer invited me over to feed me. And so I could see the new baby. We had talked during the week, and Edwar decided to try his hand at one of my Catfish recipes. He started to get ready.

There was Salsa, fresh Zucchini, Corn and Beans. While that was heating, we decided that the Filets were huge, so we cut them. Then we had a Real Big Mess O' Catfish.

Everyone got a piece of Catfish and some Vegetables. We underestimated our needs on the Vegetables, so the second piece of Fish was just with Sauce.

That's Megan holding the baby, by the way. Another Blog debut! We all loved the Fish. Also, we had Asparagus.

At home, around midnight, I was hungry, so I had a package of Oscar Meyer Delifresh Smoked Turkey Breast Rollups with two types of Mustards.

That's it. Here's some more pictures of me with the baby, and my steps. No children were injured in the taking of these photos.
