Well, it got to be about 11:00, and I hadn't eaten anything. I was in Weston, of all places, and Caleb, Joe Robert, Lonnise and I went food hunting. We wound up in a Peruvian place -- I have no clue what it was called.
They brought us some Cancha (Toasted Corn) for us to start with. Caleb, of course, worked on his Happy Meal.
Our Main Courses arrived. I had a Tacu Tacu with Seafood, Joe Robert had a Mixed Grill, and Lonnise had her favorite Peruvian dish... Aji de Gallina.
I ate all of mine, as did Joe Robert. I think Lonnise took some with her to go, but I wouldn't swear to it.
I spent the rest of the day at home, watching football. First, some Watermelon.
Then I opened and heated a can of Spicy Prawn Soup.
Later, more Watermelon.
Then some Frozen Grapes. They were $1.79 a pound at Winn-Dixie.
Then, some more Grapes. The last game didn't end until 1:00 am.
Here's my steps.
Sunday, August 31
I slept in, and didn't eat until 1:00, when I had most of a cold Chicken fromWalmart.
Yeah, most of it. Probably 3/4 of the bird. The skin came off easily, so I dumped that.
Loretta and I invited her friend Adele to have Dinner with us. When we offered up Uncle Lui's, she jumped at the opportunity.
They start you off with Potato Pancakes. We each had one.
I had mine without Sour Cream or Applesauce, so I felt a combination of virtuous and deprived all at the same time.
For my Appetizer, I had the Lobster Bisque. The girls had Salads.
Main Course time. I had the Stuffed Cabbage. They serve sides of Cabbage with it. And it came with a Sweet Potato.
Adele and Loretta had Weiner Schnitzel and Salmon, respectively.
The meals come with Dessert. I passed on mine, and Adele took it home with her.
Speaking of home, I had two bowls of Watermelon while I scanned old photos that I recovered from Loretta's archives. Here's one of Loretta and Phil from 1957. She told me that she made the dress she's wearing in this picture.
That's it for the weekend. Here's my steps. Jeff at the office was right - when I got back to the USA, I would turn back into a slug.
