The rare Triple Soup Day -- If you count Chili as a Soup. Runyon's does.
After walking in the morning, I stopped at Whole Foods on the way to Loretta's house. We had plans for the day.
I bought a container of their Keys Fisheries Conch Chowder.
We went to see Rent in the afternoon. It's a great show, and this performance wasn't bad.
For Dinner, we headed back to Coral Springs to eat at Runyon's. I love that place, but it is a lot pricey, so we don't go that often. If you join their email club, they send you a Birthday 50% off of your Main Dish coupon. That makes it very reasonable.
It was my Birthday, so I had a Roll, as did Loretta.
All the Main Dishes at Runyon's come with either Soup or Salad. Loretta chose Salad, and in a move that will shock nobody, I went for the Soup -- Italian Wedding style.
Next was my Appetizer. I chose the Prime Rib Chili, which, according to Wanda, our waitress, is classified as a Soup.
I made a half-hearted attempt to get it without the Cheese, but no. Cheese and Onions.
Main Course time. Loretta had the Crab Cake and Soft-Shell Crab combo, and I had The Mother of All Prime Ribs.
...with Au Poive Sauce, of course.
Huge would be an understatement -- it was enormous. Tasty would also not be accurate -- it was delicious.
I ate the Mashed Potatoes and most of the Steak. I took some home and then had it at around 11 pm, just to finish off the Birthday the right way.
We both had Coffee, but no Dessert. I posed with the Bone for a Photo Op, before wrapping it up to give to Milca for her dogs.
That was it for the day. Soup, Show, Soup, Soup, and Steak. Happy Birthday! Here's my steps:
