SPECIAL EDITION: Lima Kids' Christmas Party

December 18, 2016
We interrupt this Blog for a Special Edition. Due to the kids' party, there wasn't much eating going on. I will include that in tomorrow's post.

I again joined Peruanos Solidarios on their annual outing to bring a Christmas Party to poor kids in a town on the outskirts of Lima. This year, we went to Nana -- about a 2 hour ride from where I live.

Below are just **some** of the pictures from the day. You can see where these folks live (the first few pictures are their houses), the chocolatada, where we gave out Chocolate Milk, Cake and Candy, the show with a clown and singing and games, and then the gifts. We also bought around 125 kids books with some of the donations I collected, and it was rewarding to see how well that was received by both the kids and their parents. We also gave baskets of things for the house - milk, rice, toilet paper, etc. - to some of the local families.

The kids had a blast, we all had fun and were very tired, and felt like a million Soles at the end of the day. If you want to come with me to the party next year or want to see if you can help otherwise, hit me up!

The full album will be available on my Facebook page later today. Add me or email me for the link if you want to see it.
