LIMA DAYS 7 & 8: A Home-Cooked Meal and The Best Octopus

December 18, 2016

Today was the Chocolatada for the kids in Ñaña, so things were a bit off, food-wise.We had Tamale Sandwiches before loading the truck, a home-cooked plate of Rice & Chicken during the party, and I finished up with -- of all things -- a Pizza topped with Garlic, Tomato and Alfalfa Sprouts. I was dead tired, and the restaurant is across the street from my apartment. I was going to walk somewhere else, but did not have the strength.

I slept ten hours after eating the Pizza. In the morning, I went next door for my Coffee and Sandwich. For Lunch, I went to Bam Bam's for Ceviche made from Black Clams (Ceviche de Conchas Negras), and for Dinner, I took Ximoi to Panchita, where we shared a skewer of the Best Octopus Ever, and then we had Trout (her) and Swordfish (me). And, in a show of fantastic restraint, we had no Queso Helado for Dessert.
