Just because it is not Soup Week, that doesn't mean that I can't enjoy a bowl of Soup. Or two.
A Bowl of Watermelon.
At Albertson's this week, cans of the Healthy Choice Soups are 79 cents when you buy six at a time. Seventy-Nine Cents! I'm going to be very sad when Albertson's goes out of business, but until then, I'm buyin' me some Soup.
Three cans of Healthy Choice Split Pea and Ham Soup in a big bowl.
That kept me for a while.
Lonnise and I were driving around after work and finally decided on eating at Golden Krust Bakery - A Jamaican Restaurant on Commercial and University Drive. They had a sign that talked about a $4.99 special. We believed it.
Well, $27 later, we had our food. I had some Pepper Pot Soup and an order of Brown Stew Chicken, and Lonnise had a smaller Soup and Curry Chicken.
The Food was good, not great. The Soup had Dumplings, which in Jamaican Restaurants are just large pieces of Dough. I didn't eat the Dumplings, but the Broth was good. I didn't ask Lonnise what she thought, but I don't think I will go there again when I want that kind of food.
Much, much later, at home, I had a package of Turkey Roll-Ups with Mustard.
Here's my steps for the day.
