Chain Restaurant Friday

Friday, October 10

A Bowl of Watermelon. Another Bowl of Watermelon.

Larry and I had to run some errands at Lunchtime, so we stopped at VooDoo BBQ on Andrews Avenue. They make kick-ass Whole Smoked Turkeys.

Unfortunately, they weren't selling Whole Smoked Turkeys on Friday; I had to order the regular crap from their menu.

I had their Combo Plate with Pulled Pork and Brisket. My Side Dishes were Rice & Beans and Collard Greens. Larry had a Shrimp Tater.

The Food wasn't very good, but they don't give you a lot of it, so that worked out.

For Dinner, I met Loretta and her friend Adele, and the three of us went to Ruby Tuesday on University and Commercial for Dinner. I had very low expectations there, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I started with a Salad Bar trip.

Assorted leafy Greens, Chopped Egg, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Broccoli and some Ham Chunks. I put some Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side, but I didn't like it very much, so I just ate the Salad dry.

For my Main Course, I had the NY Strip, Loretta had the Salmon, and Adele had a half-rack of Ribs. We all had the Grilled Zucchini on the side.

On the way home from Loretta's house, I stopped at Albertsons and picked up some more soup (79 cents a can) and some Watermelon. I had two Bowls of Watermelon and watched TV until the wee hours of the morning.

Here's my steps for Friday:
