Grapes. Not Frozen. It was the last day of the sale, so I stocked up, and ate some on the way to work.
Ed, Jeff and I went to Hooters on Cypress Creek for Lunch. We were served by the lovely Natasha.
That's her delivering my food. I had the Blackened Cod Sandwich with Baked Beans.
Jeff was surprised that I ate the Roll, but the pickings, diet-wise, in Hooters is pretty slim, so what could I do?
Back in the office, I had some Frozen Grapes, and then some more Frozen Grapes.
Later that night, I went to Publix and bought some Chicken Wings.
I threw them in a large Ziploc Bag, added Rickey's Hot Sauce and a lot of Kickin' Chicken Seasoning, and shook and baked.
They were baked and delicious.
Here's my steps for the day.

Monday: Wench!
Monday, September 15
I was served by a Wench. You can take pictures with them.
You don't get a lot of Wench Photo Ops these days, so I jumped all over it.
In the hotel, I had some Mixed Fruit and five Hard-Boiled Eggs.
Before heading to the airport, we had Lunch at John Strongbow's Tavern in Alexandria. They have beers form the 1500s and the food is served by Wenches.
Our Wench basically pointed tot he Buffet. They had Pea Soup and Sausage and Duck. I love Duck.
I had that plate & bowl. And three more Sausage and that much Duck again twice more. But just the one bowl of Soup. It's no longer Soup Week.
At the airport, I blame Ed. Also, I like Pretzels. I had these two bags.
They were small bags, but they were expensive. And they were good. I can't remember the last time I had pretzels.
When I got home, I'm not sure. I didn't write anything down or take any pictures, but I could have had some Grapes. Here's my steps.

SOUP WEEK II: Day 7
Sunday, September 13
Frozen Grapes.
I was flying to Washington in the afternoon, so I stopped at the supermarket on the way to the airport and bought some Turkey to eat while waiting.
Almost as good without Mustard as with it.
When we arrived and checked into the Hotel, I honored Soup Week by getting a container of Healthy Choice Chicken Noodle Soup and nuking it in my room before Dinner.
Then Dinnertime rolled around. I blame Ed. We went to an Italian place (don't remember the name) on King Street in Alexandria.
The Bread was hot, so I had three pieces, and used some of it to wipe the Bowl from my Lobster Bisque. Hot Bread is better than Cold Bread, but still not great.
Then, the Appetizers. Remember, I blame Ed. We had Mussels, Fried Calamari, and Grilled Shrimp.
I had all the Mussels, half the Calamari, and two of the Shrimp.
For our Main Courses, Ed had a Crab Ravioli the size of New Jersey, and I had Crab Risotto.
It's Maryland; they have Crab. Mine was good, and Ed's looked Great.
Then for Dessert (I blame Ed), I had the Chocolate Mousse. He had a Creme Brulee.
That's it. Here's my steps.

The Second of the Seven Best Days of the Year
Saturday, September 13
Also, Soup Week II: Day 6. More importantly, a Hurricanes Home Game.
The Hurricanes had a game at 3:30, so I couldn't concentrate on Food in the morning, what with the game and a Sub coming up. I ate Frozen Grapes.
D'Angelo and I headed to the game early. Jeff was going to meet us there, and Joe Robert was in Orlando, and Brent bailed on us. We stopped, as always, at Sub Center to gear up. My regular Sub Girl was there, and she got to work.
At the stadium, we chowed down.
Mine was my regular: Turkey Breast, no Cheese, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, Three different Peppers, Hot Sauce, and more Mustard. All of it on a Whole Wheat Sub, with the Bread hollowed out, to allow for more Mustard. She does a great job on my Sub. D'Angelo had a Cheesesteak. It turned out that Jeff was 10 minutes behind us; the folks at the Sub Center told him he was late.
The Hurricanes won 41-20. Delightful.
For Soup Week Saturday, I broke out three cans back at the house.
I did two cans of Light Vegetable, and a can of Savory Vegetable Barley. 10 Points for the whole thing, and no discussion of Sodium.
Later, while watching the late games, some more Frozen Grapes.
Here's my steps.

SOUP WEEK II: Day 5
Friday, September 12
Apparently, I only eat with people who have names that start with 'L.'
Frozen Grapes... they're STILL on sale.
At Lunch, Larry wanted to go to Sweet Tomatoes. They have Soup, and we had a coupon, so off we went.
I has six Bowls (if you can call them that; they're tiny): Chicken Noodle (3), Chili (2), and Continental Lentil & Spinach (1).
They look at you funny if you have no Salad on your tray when you pay, so I had a little Green Stuff and Mushrooms, because I like Mushrooms.
More Frozen Grapes.
I met Loretta for Dinner. She's a good sport, and when I told her that it was Soup Week, she suggested that we go to Whole Foods and hit up the Salad Bar.
The Gumbo Soup was good & Chunky, so I was happy.
She had the Cioppino and a small Noodle Side Dish.
Mine... delicious.

SOUP WEEK II: Day 4 - The Hot Pot
Thursday, September 11
A Bowl of Watermelon.
I opened three cans of Progresso Vegetable Classics Vegetable Soup. And ate them.
Later, another Bowl of Watermelon.
For Dinner, I headed down to The Hot Pot in Davie. Lo & behold, Katie was working... she was there our first visit, and never since.
It's Soup Week, so I ordered a Hot Pot with the Szechuan Broth, and I went off the menu for the other one... I got the Crab Broth from one of their Specialty Soups. To go with it, I stuck to Vegetables: Napa Cabbage, Bean Sprouts, Broccoli and Bok Choy.
It took me a while, but I did Soup Week proud.
Later on, some Watermelon and Mixed Fruit.
Here's my steps for the day. One Very Active Minute. One.

SOUP WEEK II: Day 3 - Hong Kong City
Wednesday, September 10
A Bowl of Watermelon. Another Bowl of Watermelon.
I love when a plan comes together... Albertsons has many different Progresso Soups on sale for $1 per can this week. It's a good thing that you can freeze Grapes.
For Lunch, I broke out three cans of Vegetable Soup.
Delicious. Full of Vegetables. Remember, no discussion of sodium is acceptable this week.
I met Lonnise for Dinner. She was willing to try a new place, so we headed to Hong Kong City BBQ on State Road 7, just off of Commercial Blvd.
In a surprise move, we ordered Soup. I had a Bowl of Duck and Wontons, and Lonnise had Roast Pork & Wontons.
Delicious. And filling. And Delicious. But there's always room for free Orange for Dessert.
Later, at home, two more Bowls of Watermelon.
Here's my steps.
