Holiday Weekend Wrap-Up

Saturday, July 5

Some Frozen Grapes before I left Ed's house to drive home.

I stopped at Publix during the day and picked up some pacakges of Ready-To-Cook Brown Stew Chicken and Pork.

They normally have this in either Curry or Jerk flavors, so I decided to give the Brown Stew a spin.

While that was cooking, I nuked up a package of (no Sauce) Brussels Sprouts.

The Chicken & Pork came out good, so I spent the rest of the day recuperating from Volleyball, not leaving the house, and eating the Chicken and Pork. Here's what one Bowl looked like.

That was it except for the Grapes and Banana I had at night.

Here's my steps.

Sunday, July 6

If I thought that I sat around the house and did nothing on Saturday, well, I did even less on Sunday. I ate less, too.

Two Peaches.

A Bag of Brussels Sprouts. I just add some Garlic Powder and Grind a Garlic & Pepper Mix, and nuke it away.

Then a second Bag.

Three more Peaches and I was done for the day. Here's my steps.

Independence Day - No Cows Were Blown Up (or Eaten)

Friday, July 4

Remember, I'm blaming Ed for all of this. For those of you who wrote in to say that I'm a grown adult and have control of what I put into my mouth, I say, "Go watch Game of Thrones."

I went with Linda to pick up some stuff at Publix in the morning. On the way back, we passed a stand with Fresh Georgia Peaches. We bought a bag, and I ate two when we got back to the house. They were delicious.

Then I had some more of the remaining Strawberries from yesterday.

After that, I nuked a bag of Brussels Sprouts. I am officially on a Brussels Sprouts kick, I suppose. These were not is any 'sauce,' so I just added some Spices. After that, I had two more Peaches.

Ed puts out quite a spread at his parties. I passed on the first Official Eating Period, but I had some Roast Pork and some Pulled Pork during the second. These pictures are the Roast Pork; I had two plates of that and just one of the Pulled variety.

Then, because it was a holiday, Frozen Grapes.

Then, because it was a holiday, I cut up a huge Watermelon.

It was delicious; I had lots of help with the Watermelon.

During the fifth Eating Period, Gordon was working the grill. Jennifer just likes taking Blog Photos.

He made some stuff without Sauce. I had the Chicken Breast on the bottom left of the top photo, and three Chicken Legs and one Rib as well.

I capped that off with one Sausage.

That was it, except for a few more Strawberries.

That was it. As promised, no Cows were ingested by me. We did blow a lot of stuff up; none of it was bovine. We had a fun time. And I still blame Ed.

Here's my steps. I played Volleyball, so I have no idea how I only had four active minutes.

July 4th Eve

Thursday, July 3

I blame Ed. I'm not sure how and why, but quite often, when I eat uncontrollably, Ed is around. I may not be right to blame him, but that's my story.

Ed was having a July 4th party at his lake house. I drove up early on Thursday to be either of help or a general nuisance... sometimes, it is hard to tell the difference.

I stopped at the WalMart in Clewiston to pick some things up. Among the things were a pund and a half of Chicken Wings.

They weren't very good, but at least they weren't breaded, eaither.

When I got to the house, some Strawberries (just a few; not the whole package) and a Banana.

Later, some Frozen Grapes and another Banana.

Doing well so far. Dinnertime rolls around... Ed made a boatload of Zita with Meatballs and Sausage. And A really good smelling Sauce. I had: Turkey and Salad.

No Dressing on the Salad. Then I had more Salad.

A little later, I nuked a bag of Brussels Sprouts.

These were 'lightly sauced.' In reality, not-so-lightly. I prefer them just Brussels Sprouts, and I add some seasoning.

Going well, you say. That's what I thought.

11:00 pm rolls around, everyone is asleep except me. The Ziti called me. I answered.

It wasn't that great (but Ed buys really good Sausages), but that didn't stop me from having a second (slightly smaller) plate.

That was enough. Here's my steps.

Wednesday... (drumroll): Catfish. And Peruvian Food

Wednesday, July 2

Frozen Grapes. A lot of Frozen Grapes.

For Lunch, I heated up the leftover Catfish that I made on Monday.

Yes, there was Catfish in there. I love Catfish; I could eat it every day. Oh, I have eaten it every day.

Later, I had a bag of Carrots.

Then, more Frozen Grapes. A lot of Frozen Grapes.

Before I went home, I nuked up a bunch of Asparagus.

I met Lonnise for Dinner. We went to a new (to us) place: Chifa Peru on University Drive, just north of Sunset Strip.

'Chifa' is what Peruvians call Chinese Food. They're very proud of it... me, I think it's not that great, as compared to how great 'regular' Peruvian food is.

Anyway, they had a non-Chifa menu, too. Lonnise and I ordered two dishes to share: Aji de Gallina and Juanes.

Aji de Gallina is Shredded Chicken in a slightly Spicy Sauce. It's served over a few Potatoes and with White Rice. Juanes is a dish from the Jungle Regions of Peru. It is, in effect, Chicken and Rice, except it is wrapped in Banana Leaves and then baked. I have only had this dish when I was indeed in the Jungle, so I jumped all over it. Lonnise was pretty impressed, too.

We split both dishes, with me eating more than Lonnise. She preferred the Aji de Gallina. So did I; it wasn't the best example of Juanes ever, but it was still a treat for me.

Later, at home, I had some more Frozen Grapes.

Here's my steps. Zero very active steps two days in a row... Summer sucks for exercise.

Tuesday - Catfish!

Tuesday, July 1

A Cup of Frozen Grapes in the car on the way to work.

A Bowl of Watermelon. More Frozen Grapes. I stocked up, because they aren't 99 cents per pound any longer.

I went to Lunch with Dave, of all people. We went to one of those Chicken on the Grill places. I had the Chicken Bowl, no Onions.

There's White Rice, Black Beans, Tomatoes, and cut up Chicken Breast. I added some Onions and Hot Sauce.

Back at the office, I had more Frozen Grapes and another Bowl of Watermelon.

At home, for Dinner, I broiled two pieces of Catfish and a small piece of Salmon. I also nuked a small bag of Brussels Sprouts.

A meal fit for a king. Really delicious.

Later, more Frozen Grapes.

Here's my steps. Zero very active minutes.

Monday - Catfish!

Monday, June 30

A Banana.

I bought some Catfish at Albertsons. I broke out a can of Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts and Jalapeno slices.

It all cooked up and was delicious.

I put away the same amount for another meal.

While that was cooking, I cut in half and nuked some Brussels Sprouts. No photo - I was so excited, I forgot.

Later on, a Bowl of Watermelon and some Frozen Grapes.

That's it. Here's my steps.
